Matt Bodett’s visual art spans over fifteen years. During the last seven, Bodett has been living and working in Chicago. These prolific years have been a continued development of his interest in understanding mental illnesses, the psychology of madness, and the social context related to understanding insanity. Utilizing painting, printmaking, video, sculpture, sound, and other media Bodett has created a complex system of symbols and a unique use of language.
